Irlanda: Eurovisión 2012

El año pasado conquistaron a Europa con sus tupés imposibles y su pegadizo "Lipstick", pero parece que a los gemelos hermanos Grimes les supo a poco el octavo puesto obtenido en Düsseldorf, así que este año regresan al Festival de Eurovisión con "Waterline".

Compuesta por el sueco Nick Jarl y producida por Dan Priddy (quien ya produjo el año pasado "Lipstick"), "Waterline" muestra a unos hermanos Grimmes algo más maduros musicalmente pero que no renuncian a sus peinados de fantasía, sus enormes hombreras y sus coreografías simétricas. 

Éxito en Europa

Los hermanos gemelos John y Edward Grimes saltaron a la fama en 2009 gracias al programa de jóvenes talentos X Factor. Tras darse a conocer al público, grabaron un álbum de estudio y emprendieron su primera gira por Irlanda, un tour que tuvieron que ampliar a 75 conciertos y para el que se agotaron todas las entradas. 

En el año 2011 participaron en Eurovisión con la canción "Lipstick". Aunque en los días previos al Festival eran unos de los favoritos para ganar, finalmente tuvieron que conformarse con el octavo puesto. Sin embargo, su paso por Eurovisión les sirvió para llevar a cabo una gira promocional por varios países de Europa. Además, también participaron en el programa Celebrity Big Brother 2011 de Reino Unido, en el que terminaron en tercera posición
